This is Buster's story, but we learn about Bobby, too.
Buster loves baseball, even though he strikes out more often than he'd like until Mr. Dennis offers him a mysterious drink with a sparkly name: Razzmatazz. Living with Type 1 diabetes means his blood sugar can rise or fall without warning, sometimes making him dizzy or even causing him to pass out. People don't usually notice his disability, but Buster shows up anyway-brave, steady, and determined to keep improving.
His friend, Bobby, faces a different kind of challenge. He has ADHD, which means he talks a lot and sometimes says the wrong thing. Learning new things can be hard because his brain takes extra time to remember stuff, especially for tests or fun activities. But Bobby never gives up, keeps trying, and never loses his big-hearted enthusiasm.
Buster and Bobby navigate a world where their challenges aren't always visible. One lives with a physical condition, the other with a mental health challenge. But both boys share the same love for the game.
This is a baseball story about courage, strength, and that understanding a disability helps to manage, overcome and brings its own kind of award.
