The Gap

How soon, after the Rapture, will the Tribulation take place? We do not know before the Antichrist will confirm a peace covenant with Israel, triggering the start of the Tribulation Period. It is during this time that this story unfolds.
Most end-time novels jump from the Rapture to the Tribulation without a gap. However, Scripture is unclear regarding the time period between these two events. A possibility exists for a "Gap" for the following reasons:

• Global turmoil will require a restructuring of society.
• The Antichrist will need time to establish his authority on a worldwide scale.
• A world government and religious system need time to form.
• Skeptical of previous peace plans, Israel will need time to accept the confirmation of a previously rejected covenant.
• Depending on the timing of the Magog War, the Antichrist may use it to assure Israel of peace and security.
• It may be that the martyrs of Revelation 6 are killed during this "Gap" because they ask the question: "How long." If this occurred during the Tribulation, they would not need to ask
• Also, time will be needed to build the temple.
