This book is the representative work of Dong Qichang's book and is now in the collection of Nanjing Museum. Dong Qichang's calligraphy is the most accomplished in cursive script, and his Xing script is based on the Wang, and thanks to Yan Zhenqing, Mi Fu, and Yang Ning, Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy has more or less influenced his creation. The cursive script is rooted in Yan Zhenqing's Strutting for a Seat and The Manuscript of Sacrifice to Nephew, with Huai Su's roundness and Mi Fu's ups and downs. The pen is precise and can always maintain a positive front. There are few pens and sluggish pens in the works; the use of ink is also very particular, with dryness and lightness, which is perfect; the style is slack and natural, quaint and peaceful, or it may be related to his all-day temperament and understanding of Zen. Dong Qichang embarked on the road of calligraphy art because of his bad calligraphy during the exams, so he became annoyed and became a famous artist.
