Mastering Creativity

Through in-depth reflection on the primordial issue of "e;creation"e;, this book finds that complex systems such as human beings, societies and ecosystems share the same law, i.e., the creativity of a complex system is directly proportional to the amount of energy and diversity it possesses, and inversely proportional to its adaptability. The authors have thought deeply about this law in relation to individuals and proposed ways to improve individual creativity. Thus, the secret of personal creativity is found to lie in the fact that creativity can be enhanced by establishing the spirit of innovation, increasing diversity, and maintaining appropriate non-adaptation; and then by taking the problem as the core and forming a complex system of knowledge through in-depth thinking, knowledge can be turned into wisdom and power, and creativity will emerge in abundance. However, "e;creativity"e; is also a double-edged sword. What is created can be positive or negative, and can create happiness or bring disaster! Therefore, while we spare no effort to enhance our creativity, how to ensure that what we create will not cause harm is a very important issue. Based on the study of the law of harmony of natural and social systems, the author proposes a way to harness creativity by taking the golden section as a ratio and regulating the ratio of harmony with adaptability as a lever.
