Perry Schlie was first exposed to literature as a youngster. Longfellow, Frost, and James Whitcomb Riley were standard fare at Grammy Perry's house, as was the Bible (the Authorized version). Additionally, there was a lot of storytelling, thanks to Aunt Betty's genius. In high school, most study halls were spent reading in the library. Writing and poetry (a special form of writing), like any art form, is, I believe, emotionally based; in that, you either like an item, spending some time on it, or you don't like it and move on. It is hoped that at least some of these stories will appeal to you, the reader, or to you, as a listener. It is also hoped that you may gain some new insight or maybe even have an aha moment as you peruse these Bible-based stories.
