When I was 12 years old, I had a group of friends who apparently loved to hear me talk. They loved to read the crazy stories I came up with even if they had absolutely no substance or potential. But I didn't know that back then. All I knew was that I wanted to write. And I wrote...and wrote...and wrote...

I'm 23 years old. And I keep writing. Now, I'm in love with what I do; I believe in my stories and in the power of sharing a story that others can relate to and that can make them feel something.

This book is for that 12-year-old girl that had no idea what she wanted in life; all she knew was that when she sat down and lay her hands on a keyboard, her soul was fulfilled.

The only thing I know is true in my life is that when I write, I am the best version of myself. The most honest and joyful. I am complete.

These short stories tell parts of myself that I can't share otherwise. They are parts of my dreams, of my life, and of my constant longing for love stories that spread hope and comfort. Take them as you wish-as dreams, as anecdotes, as illusions. All I want is for the world to hang on to the power of love.

Sam Brooke is the pen name for Guatemala based author whose life has been dedicated to writing, creating, and chasing love stories in the form of movies, books, and music.
