Amalgamate

Getting dropped off at a military base at the age of six was not something Kaila Lockhart had been prepared for. Over the years, she managed to carve out two steady goals to hold onto: first, earning her parents' approval, and second, becoming an Elite Soldier capable of protecting the civilians of Amalgamate.

Kaila is a highly driven cadet. However, some may say she's a little too obsessed with the job, though it's difficult to not be when she has a best friend like Jethro Verlece, a sergeant major for the army, and another best friend who she always comes second to, Levi Vroman.

But in a world where mysterious meteorites impacted the earth over 500 years ago, being the best is all that matters. For they are the ones who get to experience the honor of going through the Meteor Encounter Ceremony, where a soldier attains the privilege of receiving a supernatural gift, becoming an Elite Soldier. The greatest honor anyone can have.

However, is becoming gifted truly the solution to all of Kaila's problems? Was proving her parents wrong about her going to heal her from within? The answers to these questions would begin to surface when a group by the name of I.D. begins to challenge the Army of Amalgamate. Though the world had grown accustomed to its newer ways, no one could forget that the need of the non-gifted had not yet been met.
