Astara is Born: Under the Hollyood sign (vol. II) is a Horatian satiric surf on the wave of the 1980s New Age zeitgeist in Hollywood at the onset of the indie filmmaking era. A reluctant Icon tries out her new name Astara Dawn on an irresistible English actor while stuck in a holding pattern on a flight into Los Angeles. Awaiting her on the ground is a sublet and a freelance job as a script reader. As she settles into her new home below the Hollywood sign, Astara's romp through the rogues clinging onto the dream motif of the Hollywood Sign in the hills above her bungalow studio tests her heroic quest to become the writer, star, director and producer of her own movie. The result is an original contemporary picaresque literary style presenting a new type of heroine making a conscious choice between a Self-determined destiny and unconscious fate by way of taking back the fuel that runs Hollywood: psychic projections. Astara's relentless pursuit of Self-mastery authoring a keen observer of time and place elevates metafiction into a quantum narrative of unlimited potentialities for personal and universal evolution.

Astara is Born is the second volume of Kundalini Awakening, a trilogy of meta-novels pioneering metacognition in storytelling pioneering a new genre of quantum narratives. The first book, Champagne Tango (1984), about a kundalini awakening channeled into a romantic obsession luring the protagonist to Argentina where she experiences her inner turmoil in her outer environment as the nation breaks free from military dictatorship. Astara is Born followed (1988) as the second volume reflecting a raised consciousness about her kundalini predicament. The final volume, Wolf in the Bottle (1994) is about a Hollywood romance with a highly seductive upcoming actor in which the inner alchemical transformation is reflected in the book's structure.

Champagne Tango was self-published in 1992. A second edition will be published in the Kundalini Awakening Trilogy on the Spring Equinox 2026.
