Biblical Legend meets Norse Myth in this epic historical fantasy adventure. As the young Israelite General David sieges Jebus, the king's adopted son Lox unleashes the Shadow of Death, threatening the world with an ancient evil from a dark dimension called The Shadow Realm.

Set in the fledgling kingdom of Israel. After years of Israel's conquest in the land of Canaan over dozens of squabbling city-states, Jebus remains the lone holdout in the region. Ruled by the aged and wizened King Adonizedek and his warrior son Prince Thoros, they have long been preparing for the day when they would have to face the armies of Israel, led by the young and valiant David who is famed for his exploits in battle.

When the siege finally commences Lox, the King's adopted son, is busy covertly working away in the dungeon on a plan to fulfill an all-consuming desire for revenge. Using the influence from an ancient stone box he stole from the Israelites, his plan soon takes on a will of its own, unleashing the dreaded Tsalmaveth, the Shadow of Death, on the land. The unintended consequences of Lox's scheming set off a series of events that threaten to overtake that whole of Jebus and eventually the world if the Shadow of Death is not defeated. In the midst of the turmoil, a young Prince Baaldir embarks on a journey of survival and discovery that will test his mettle as he enters manhood.

Awaken The Dark is a story full of intrigue that explores the correlation between a variety of symbolic and allegorical characters as they struggle to overcome the Shadow of Death before it smothers them and merges the entire world as they know it with The Valley of Shadows and an even more frightening evil held captive within the vast Shadow Realm.
