Katie Walsh is majorly bummed out when her BFF moves away. But then she meets the new girl at school, Whitney, and almost immediately Whitney invites Katie over to her house for a sleepover. Katie loves sleepovers, so she accepts Whitney's offer even though she doesn't know her all that well yet. What can go wrong? she tells herself. But a lot can go wrong at a sleepover, as Katie quickly finds out. Her new friend Whitney isn't like other girls. She seems really obsessed her dolls . . . and later that night, Katie is convinced that Whitney's dolls were threatening her while she tried to sleep. Katie is pretty freaked out by her sleepover with Whitney and decides that maybe they were not meant to be friends after all. But Whitney has made up her mind about Katie--the two girls are going to be BFFs forever, no matter what.
