Beyond the Body

"Dear Sharon, I finished your book. I'm glad I can stop crying for a while. Seriously, I think I could write the equivalent of 1/4 - 1/2 of your book length explaining the depth of compassion, beauty, and love contained within. Near the very end, when you talked about the orchestration of time, I was reminded of my last reading with you when Craig said, 'There are forces at work that keep track of time, and it was time for me to leave, you, Ryan, and Courtney.' It was a year ago yesterday that Craig left his body, and because of your gift, I have a depth of relationship with him and my mom that I never had before. Life, consciousness, and the whole of creation are amazing things! I love you! When we have dreams of our loved ones who have passed on, they are visiting us." ~ Lynn

Our minds often want to talk us out of things like this, telling us it's just our imagination or just a 'dream.' But the truth is this life is a dream, and there are no hard boundaries between the seen and the unseen worlds. Those who have transcended the physical plane know this. In the initial stages of losing someone, when they come close to us, we feel greater grief and the emotional intensity of our loss. When this happens, they will often move away to ease our pain. As time goes on, we can be more open and receptive to the feeling of their presence. Or seeing them smile at us through another's eyes or a butterfly or bird coming near or circling. There are no limitations on what we call the other side, as the other side is always here. We don't always perceive it, but it is real and right here.
