It's also said that the one who first taught that craft was punished by God, but there are apocrypha that use the word 'betrayed' instead of 'punished'.
Nathan and those he commands have been killing or incarcerating servants of evil for many years. One he's overlooked is closer than he suspects, just waiting for an opportunity.

Lorryn thought she was done with Jack. Now something she made a desperate pact with threatens to get him killed - or worse. She's got to work fast, especially with Nathan and his fanatics after her.

Jack's fascinated with something he discovered at the scene of a slaughter. So much so, he's started dreaming about it. Lorryn says it's dangerous. He doesn't care.

There are many angels. Only one chose to stay instead of falling. Originally, it wanted understanding. Now it'll settle for revenge.
