Bloodline of Witches

The goddesses abandoned this world long ago, but their magic still courses through ancient bloodlines. In the Kingdom of Avest, those born with magic are mercilessly hunted down, even if they never intend to use it.

Nora Berg knows little of magic or goddesses. She's spent a life of isolation at her family's mountainside cottage, tending the garden and trying to forget about the man she was supposed to marry.

Making a rare journey into the local village, Nora finds the streets abandoned and three of the King's soldiers searching for her, of all people. Quick thinking and self-defence leave two dead soldiers in her wake. Alone and hunted, Nora joins a passing band of travellers who take her in unquestioningly. Well, except for mysterious Max Zilver, who has a whole load of questions about Nora, but won't reveal anything about himself.

Surviving on the run is far from Nora's simple life at the cottage. As she gets to know her new ragtag family, Nora starts to question everything she thought she knew about magic and bloodlines. As secrets about her own family emerge, can she even trust the blood running through her veins?

BLOODLINE OF WITCHES is the first book in the Sister Goddesses Series, an epic character-driven fantasy series with romance and a hint of spice, perfect for fans of authors like Rachel Gillig, L.K. Steven and Stacey McEwan.
