RJ Doyle has authored ten short stories between October and December 2024, with their content largely revolving around supernatural themes. The first story, Celosia Smith's Paranormal Chronicles, introduces the titular character, a recently deceased woman who interacts with minor characters-many of whom later receive their own dedicated stories within the same collection.

All ten stories are set in the fictional English seaside town of Little Snoring, a place partially inspired by Lowestoft, Britain's most easterly settlement. However, only certain locations, such as the promenade or cemeteries, reflect the real-life counterpart, while the characters and events are entirely fictional. Doyle's writing style incorporates elements of verse, adding a lyrical quality to the narratives.
