Chemdat Libi

Chemdat Libi: A Love Like No Other, A Collection of Poems, Sayings, and Writings is a short work about my relationship and experience with God and Jesus. I am not Jewish by any means, but I very much love and adore the God of the Jews and His Son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for His Holy Spirit.

From birth to now, I have been His, but I don't always know it or feel it. Though I grew up in church (a Preacher's Kid) and heard stories about God and Jesus, I always felt like an outsider to the One I grew up hearing and learning about. I always felt God loved Jesus, the Jews, and others, but I didn't feel that He knew or loved me. I felt like 'just another face' in the multitude of people He has ever created. A few years ago, I went through severe depression, and I didn't want to live. I was not suicidal, but I asked God to take me. His response was simply: 'Not yet, he still needs you.' The 'he' whom God referred to was my son. I accepted God's will, and I lived through it the best way I knew how... Praying, seeking God, putting one foot in front of the other, learning about Jesus, and taking things day-by-day, one thing at a time. Has it been easy? No, but God is faithful!  As time passed, God spoke to me and told me to write about my experience and relationship with Him. This book is the result of His prompting. I pray my writings touch your heart in ways only God knows are possible. I pray you find familiarity, hope, comfort, and encouragement as you read it. I pray God reveals Himself and His Son to you in ways you never imagined. I pray He reveals His love to you deeply - in the sweetest, truest way possible. And, finally, I pray that you walk away from this book knowing that He loves you very much - All He wants you to do is come.
