H.H. Sri Sri Swamiji of Gubbi (1889-1966) was a revered saint of the Chidambara tradition, known for his deep devotion and unwavering service to society. Born in the village of Shettikere, Karnataka, he rose from a life of hardship to become one of the state's most respected spiritual figures.

He founded the Shri Chidambara Ashram, Gubbi, in 1940, which continues to serve in the fields of education, culture, and Sanatana Dharma. Swamiji was the first to take the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to rural communities and pioneered large public Dharmopanyasams in the 1930s. His life's mission was to uplift the poor and suffering through spiritual strength, compassion, and selfless service.
