Cognitive Warfare and Artificial Intelligence

In this book, we have endeavored to address fundamental and broad topics related to cognition, thereby assisting readers in comprehending the role of artificial intelligence in cognitive domains, the philosophy of mind, cognitive biases, logical fallacies, and cognitive warfare. Cognitive warfare has been examined from two distinct angles.
In the initial perspective, cognitive warfare is defined as the application of cognitive sciences in military contexts, and it is a minor aspect of this concept. Cognitive warfare is regarded as a comprehensive domain in the second, more critical perspective.

We have made an effort to contextualize theories, frameworks, and models in the social and military sectors from a cognitive perspective in this book. The authors have also concentrated on distinguishing cognitive warfare from other non-kinetic forms of warfare, including informational, cyber, psychological, cultural, ideological, and media warfare. This distinction can be a significant asset in the identification and development of strategies to mitigate these types of conflicts.
