Collection of Insights

In the Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping eras, Chinese modern literature and art thrived with the endorsement of the policy "let a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend," giving rise to influential artists and works. Yet, with China's economic boom, literature and art increasingly became bureaucratized, politicized, and insular, devolving into works that pandered to authorities or fan bases. Mr. Tang Luze, a renowned international author, edited "Collection of Insights" embracing the spirit of diversity and intellectual debate, shunning the drawbacks of officialdom, flattery, and fan-driven literature. The anthology circumvents the constraints of personal collections, incorporating over 200 varied short literary works from sixty Chinese writers, encompassing essays, poems, fiction, travel accounts, and musings-classics of short literature. "Collection of Insights" captures the multifaceted progression of China's harmonious society, representing a rare and exceptional compendium of top literary selections.
