COSMIC CREATION STORY

At the birth of the universe, conditions were so intensely hot and energetic that stable atoms could not yet form. Matter existed primarily as plasma. A vast, electrically charged state of particles that expanded and gradually cooled. As the universe evolved, particles combined into atoms and matter began organizing into increasingly complex structures. Gravity gathered enormous clouds of material together, forming the first stars and galaxies. Within stars, lighter elements were transformed into heavier elements such as carbon, oxygen, silicon, and iron, while stellar explosions scattered these materials throughout space.

Over billions of years, this recycled cosmic matter gathered again to form new stars, planets, and increasingly complex chemical environments. On at least one of those worlds, those elements eventually organized into biological life and, ultimately, conscious beings capable of perception, thought, and self-awareness. In this sense, consciousness is not separate from the universe but a continuation of its evolution: the same ancient matter that once existed within the primordial universe and stars eventually became organized into beings capable of looking back into the cosmos and contemplating their own origins. Through conscious life, the universe has effectively developed a way to observe, experience, and seek to understand itself.
