In all actuality, I was an astrophysicist in my early thirties who haphazardly obtained superpowers caused by the backfire of my own ambition and was stranded in a foreign galaxy while being blackmailed by the alien race inhabiting the planet into saving their home."

All his life, Dr. Jeremy Woods reached for the stars. Never did he expect for them to reach back. Following an interstellar research project mishap, humdrum astrophysicist, Jeremy Woods, finds himself stranded on the alien planet of Nivra. Not only that, he was stranded on an alien planet and suddenly possessed telekinetic powers. Which...he'll remain in denial about for a little bit. Because that couldn't possibly happen to him.

Unfortunately for Vallahraya, the elite Nivrarian spy-turned-traitor witnessed Jeremy Woods' plummet onto her planet. Meaning that she's the one he seeks refuge in. But, the Earthling's mysterious abilities may be what gets her back into Nivra's good graces.

Woods discovers that Nivra is under invasion from another extraterrestrial civilization, Tratura. The formidable General Zelisran, a former ally of Vallahraya, holds Woods captive as he believes his celestial-wielding powers can defeat the Tratura and restore Nivra's sovereignty.

Dr. Jeremy Woods becomes Dark Energy as he unwillingly stumbles into the epicenter of an intergalactic war where he must learn how to harness his newfound capabilities while also grappling with what it means to be human.
