DEADLY SPIES

In the dark room the red laser dot floated across the far wall and hovered over the man sleeping next to her, she rolled out of bed two soft pops told her the CIA man was in Spy heaven,. She tried to reach her gun but knew she was out of time. Something dropped from the ceiling onto the head of the assailant. A loud crack as the person twisted on the shoulders of the assassin and snapped its neck then landed softly in front of her. She put two bullets into its chest sending it flying back against the far wall. She waited, naked, in the dark for 5 minutes, for any sign of life. Flicking on the light a dark red ever-expanding stain on the bedsheet above the CIA man confirmed his death. On the floor, an Asian man lay with only the skin of his neck stopping his head rolling away. On the far wall, her saviour dressed in a light grey ski suit and matching helmet sat unconscious but alive. How was that possible? she had put 2 in the heart, she never missed. Pulling off the helmet a mass of red curls spilt out. On her long white neck, three slits pulsed on each side. She had seen these before but never on a human, they were gills!
