Prince Vellor, the only being in existence who knows where to find the sacred life-giving diamond Lyn'Athai, has been captured. The Banished have raised him as a blood revenant-a hideous, flesh-eating abomination. His Mistress controls everything he does, everything he thinks. He hardly remembers his life at all.
