Boranes and metallaboranes were mainly used to emphasize the fact that chemical clusters can be transformed into positive integers using skeletal numbers. This transformation actually applies to all chemical clusters. The transformation of a cluster formula with skeletal elements (n) gives an integer represented by cluster number (K) and the two give us the characteristic parameter, K(n). The above process is referred to as digitalization of chemical clusters. From the K(n) parameter, we can extract the cluster valence electrons and furthermore, use the K(n) parameter to generate the appropriate isomeric structures. The topology of the isomeric structures is based on sets of triangles derived from the K(n) parameter. This is the basis of the polyhedral phenomena of the chemical clusters. It is proposed that the eight fundamental cluster equations and the associated K(n) parameter which have been found to be precisely and diligently obeyed by cluster formulas and the individual cluster elements be regarded as Natural Laws of Chemical Clusters.
