Sometimes the most important stories begin in the most ordinary way.

In May 2025, two people match on an app.

They start by talking about food. Soon, messages become calls that last late into the night. They share music and speak about family, faith, culture and the lives they have lived. With every conversation, they grow closer.

Then they meet in London.

There is a long drive, flowers and plenty of nerves. They walk through the city, play pool, eat burgers and laugh together. After spending so long hearing each other's voices, they are finally standing side by side.

She becomes Espresso.

He becomes Guapo.

Between Leicester and London, they begin to discover each other's worlds. Their Albanian and Moroccan backgrounds bring different traditions, families and experiences into their growing relationship.

Based on a true story, Espresso follows two people as they get to know each other and begin to wonder whether their unexpected connection could become something real.

It is a story about the calls you never want to end, the journeys you look forward to and the person who can make an ordinary day feel different.
