Global Threat

A woman, amongst 50 others, was working late at Fort Greely. She was researching and studying 41,000-year-old fossilized microbes from the permafrost of the Research Tunnel in Fox, Alaska, north of Fairbanks. She was a microbiologist, an expert at her job, and was looked up to by everyone. She was not only an expert but also an advisor. She never worked this late; she was doing interesting research about the microbes, but she was a little hesitant about it. A few days ago, she received a letter from an unknown person which said, in a neat cursive, "Stop your study, or we know how to stop you." But this little note was not enough for her to stop conducting her research; instead, it gave her an impetus to dig in more. That particular night, she decided to get to the bottom of it and fully understand the message that was sent to her. She stayed in late with many of her coworkers at the site. At around 2:00 A.M., she received a phone call. It was from a private number. She answered with hesitation. "Hello?" "We warned you to stop," the person said. Realizing something, she stood up to run, but it was too late. There was an explosion on site, killing many of the people working there, including this woman who died after reaching the hospital. At the hospital, the doctor was speaking to the nurse, confused. Just before the woman had died, she said something to the nurse, who was unsure of what was said and thus told the doctor about the exchange of slurred words. "What did she say?" the doctor asked."I'm not sure, Doctor. I think she said someone's name." "What name?"The nurse hesitated. "Mike Naeli."
