Many talented and fascinating Canadians have made their mark in the game of golf, winning both at home and on the PGA tours. Here are some of their most memorable moments: * Mike Weir, the 2003 Masters champion, was the first Canadian male ever to win a professional major championship * Stephen Ames won the prestigious Players Championship by a record six-stroke margin in 2006, defeating 48 of the top 50 golfers in the world -- including Tiger Woods * Sandra Post was Canada''s first and most successful LPGA player, winning a major championship in her first year on the circuit and finishing her playing career with eight LPGA titles * Dave Barr played 17 straight years on the PGA Tour and was the first Canadian golfer to win $2 million in career earnings * Four BC golfers -- Dawn Coe-Jones, Lisa Walters, Gail Graham and Jennifer Wyatt -- combined to win nine LPGA events in the 1990s. * And more.
