Pax Dalton's at a loss. His best friend and former captain - and half the crew of their space salvage ship - were killed in an explosion that shouldn't have happened. He can't fly a damaged ship, and his boss won't give him a loan to fix it. The remaining crew is ready to throw in the towel, but Pax won't let that happen. What he needs is cash. Fast.

With just six months to pay off his debt to Fremont or lose his ship, Pax realizes someone is trying very hard to kill him, and the previous crew's death may not have been an accident at all. Can he unite his mismatched crew in time to find out the truth? Can he do it in time to save his ship?
