Hogan How To

This companion book to the seminal golf instruction book, Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf, offers a rehearsal motion for practice or play that accurately instills all the illustrations created by Anthony Ravielli, for Five Lessons, in one motion. This exploration of Five Lessons is the culmination of over three decades of exploration. The author, K. Zachary Haslem, finally brought this revelation together after discovering Ben Hogan's Secret was hidden within Five Lessons. Discoverable only by layering the illustrations together, beginning at the back of the book and working to the front.

Hogan How To: Ben Hogan's Five Lessons Distilled includes layerings and modifications of the original illustrations. Those images reveal how oddities, accentuations, and missing elements were deliberately created by Ben Hogan, with the cooperation of his illustrator. Ravielli's masterful elicitation can be seen by assembling the 59 drawings in the book by their logical connections. Omissions in one illustration are relieved by information from another. Passages which appear confusing, or overly simplified, are elucidated by prior images.

Revelations like the center of the golf swing and true purpose of Mr. Hogan's stance instruction become clear. Apparently arbitrary lessons, like the waggle, expose the interconnectedness of swing plane, with the release motion of the dominant hand. All of these lessons piece together to reveal the aspect of Ben Hogan's swing for which he was acclaimed one of, if not the absolute greatest, ball strikers who have ever played the game.
