How I became Thom

What does it truly mean to be an overcomer?

For many men, a life transformation comes in the form of finding themselves. For Thom, it was not so much that he was able to still find himself, but that he

responded when GOD came to find him.

He discovered the profound truth that every man is faced with trials, temptations and tests. With GOD's help, he understands that trials come because we live in a fallen world. Cancer, hurricanes, and the evils that men do to one another are some of the trials people face. Believers and unbelievers face trials, and Thom knew that we must endure them. Temptations come from a malevolent source (sometimes that source is within, sometimes it is the devil himself) and the correct response is to find the way of escape that God makes available (1 Corinthians 10.13).

Sometimes it takes courage to find the way of escape that He provides. Tests are from GOD and they enhance, reveal, or promote character and virtue. Thom suggests that, like him, one prays to God to pass the tests.

After God found Thom, he began the moving story of courage, resilience, and discovery that captures the emotional reality of following the LORD and the strength it takes to build a life based on a relationship with HIM.
