Interlinear Transliterated Karaite Nevi'im

Interlinear Transliterated Karaite Nevi'im, Volume 3: Samuel presents the complete Hebrew text of 1 and 2 Samuel (Shemu'el), all 55 chapters, in one volume, as a four-line interlinear for Karaite readers, from Kehillat haKaraim. Every Hebrew word is printed with its transliteration, a word-by-word English gloss and its root. A running English translation follows each verse.

The Hebrew follows the Leningrad Codex (UXLC) as written. Where the traditional reading (qere) differs from the written text (ketiv), the written word is printed in its bare letters and marked with a small circle; the transliteration and translation follow the reading, and a note under the verse gives both forms. Words read but not written show only their vowels; words written but not read are printed bare and left untranslated. The English is a new literal translation by Kehillat haKaraim, made from the Hebrew, keeping Hebrew name forms. Word-level parsing was checked against the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible, and roots against Brown-Driver-Briggs.
