Aiming to systematically prepare training staff for potentially difficult everyday situations in the training of refugees, überaus (the specialist unit at BIBB for transitions to training and work) has teamed up with the educational institution FRESKO e.V. to develop and test a training concept. Taking a cross-occupational approach, it is directly linked to personal experiences and requirements from the training practice of participants. In four modules, participants examine possible causes of conflictsin a differentiated way and work together to develop new possible courses of action. On the one hand, they achieve this by acquiring knowledge, for instance about legal framework conditions, funding opportunities and linguistic/communicative aspects of training. On the other hand, they reflect together on personal experiences, for example with regard to their own understanding of roles or individual interpretation patterns. The concept may be used as a basis for developing own training courses.
