This short book seeks to re-evangelize divorcing and divorced Catholic who feel disconnected from the Catholic Church. The book is written in a direct and straightforward manner and not intended as a comprehensive theological argument or discussion. If the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas are to apologetics what robot surgery is to Western medicine, this book is more like basic first-aid. It is intended as a relatable and easily digestible read with a straightforward message -you don't need to stop being a faithful Catholic just because you are divorced. The book is organized into two parts. Part I gives 10 compelling reasons why divorcing and divorced Catholic men should not leave the Catholic Faith despite a civil divorce (and why leaving is both unnecessary and ill-advised). Part II describes how a divorcing or divorced Catholic man can remain a faithful Catholic despite his civil divorce.
The book is both grounded in fundamental Catholic doctrine and draws upon the personal experiences of the author as a divorced Catholic. Importantly, the book does not argue for a change in the Catholic Church's position on marriage and divorce. Rather, it argues that in the life of a divorced Catholic, the Church is and continues to be a place of refuge and healing; replete with the grace of Christ as His Mystical Body here on earth.
