KENA UPANISHAD

The very meaning of the word Upanishad highlights its purpose of creation. The word “upa” means “near” and the word “nishad” can be understood as “to sit down”. The sacred Upanishads are created as an extract of the mighty work of four Vedas with the one purpose of realising Aatmaa (the self) and Brahman (the Absolute Truth) and the relation between the two. One is Vibhu (omnipresent Almighty) and the other is Anu (fragmental part and parcel of that Almighty). One is the original fire and the other its mere reflection.
