About The Alphabeans Series
The Alphabeans may feature a different letter in each book, but, first and foremost, they are intended as entertaining character stories.
The Alphabeans show children how each letter has an essential part to play in the
words we speak, read, write, and even think-but in a humorous, unconventional way.
The books are not organized in alphabetical order, but rather in an
order that introduces and develops our characters over time. In fact, for that
reason we include a joking reference to "alphabet literalists" on the back cover of
each book (along with an alternate book number that corresponds to each letter's
position in the alphabet).
When a bean runs out of a certain letter, or a letter goes missing, or a letter is
insulted and leaves, funny things tend to happen. We want our readers to enjoy
the scenarios we have imagined and be exposed to new words and human emotions in a comical, always feel-good way.Learning doesn't have to be a "stuffy" process. Sometimes it really can be a happy accident!
Look for more Alphabeans books to come (26 in all-if we're being literalists)!
