Like A Bird Without A Song

Evie is lost, grief stricken and unhappy when she meets Finn who is also emerging from a traumatic experience in a previous relationship. When the two meet they fall deeply in love and change each other in profound ways.

They vow to remain each other's anamchara, or soulmate. Then Evie abruptly ends the relationship, without explanation, to Finn's deep distress.

They meet again twenty years later at the height of their respective careers, he as a famous film star, she as the director of a research institute, and, in that instant, the past surges forward, whole and undeniable.

Both are forced to understand that what happened twenty years previously was not the end of their story but the beginning of its consequences.
