The Medical Student Wellbeing Workshop was developed to help medical students in handling their stress. The activities of the workshop were based on the premise that knowledge is power'' given relevant theoretical input about stress as well as insight about their own stress level, stressor types and coping capacities, students will be able to start strategizing towards their self-improvement. The importance of promoting and nurturing positive coping strategies toward stressors among future medical doctors are becoming more apparent within healthcare. The MSW was introduced because of three simple reasons: 1) To increase awareness among medical students concerning their stress, stressors and coping strategies. 2) To promote development of positive coping abilities among medical students toward stressors. 3) To help medical students in developing self- improvement strategies to improve their stress management skills.
