Moses Gets a Playground

Some kids have never slid down a slide. This is the story of the playground that changed that.

Moses is nine years old. He lives in Sierra Leone, walks to school each morning, and plays tag with his friends using a homemade ball. Moses has never played on a playground.

Emma is eight. She lives in America. She has a swing set in her backyard - and no idea that kids in other parts of the world have never touched a slide.

When Emma hears about Project Playground, a non-profit organization that rescues playgrounds headed for the landfill, refurbishes them, and rebuilds them for children in the developing world who have never played on one, she is ready to help. She joins the Project Playground crew as they tear down a playground, pack it up, and ship it across the ocean. She never expected that the playground would turn a stranger into a best friend.
