The anthology derives its title from the fact that it is composed of both sad and sweet songs in the poet's remembrance of and reflections on contrasting cycles of life and living back home, in her native land as well as her adopted country. Hence the title; Nostalgia and Tears F'Orile, "F'Orile'', being a play on 'Orile' the Yoruba word for country or nation, and the letter 'F' standing as an acronym for ''fun'' in Yoruba, and ''for'', the English equivalent.
The endeavor is therapeutic as the common themes running across the diverse offerings offer a release, a relief from pains of agonizing contemplations, a form of tranquilizer metaphorized as tea - that savorous beverage which serves as a daily pick-me-up against ill-feeling of any sorts.
