Pawsitive Moments

Step inside the examination room for another unforgettable collection of courage, compassion, and the extraordinary bond between people and animals.

In Pawsitive Moments: Life in a Veterinary Clinic-Volume 2, veterinarian Dr. Hailey Dillon shares twenty-five moving stories inspired by the unpredictable realities of veterinary medicine. Each chapter follows a different patient through illness, injury, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery-from a poodle fighting for her life during an Addisonian crisis and a German shepherd rushed into surgery for a twisted stomach to a newborn kitten found cold and barely breathing beneath a porch.

These stories explore emergency surgery, chronic disease, rehabilitation, behavioral medicine, neonatal rescue, and the difficult decisions that arise when treatment can no longer provide a cure. There are frightening setbacks and heartbreaking losses, but also quiet victories: a first bite of food, an independent step, a steady breath, or a beloved companion returning home.

Written with warmth, honesty, and an accessible approach to veterinary medicine, Pawsitive Moments: Life in a Veterinary Clinic-Volume 2 celebrates the resilience of animals and the people who refuse to give up on them.

For animal lovers, veterinary professionals, pet owners, and anyone who has experienced the life-changing love of an animal, this collection is a powerful reminder that hope often appears in the smallest moments.
