Pediatric Nursing is a core course in the nursing program and an important comprehensive applied discipline in clinical nursing. It is a specialized nursing course that studies the laws of child growth and development, child health care, disease prevention, and nursing, with the goal of promoting children's physical and mental health. Aligned with the objectives of professional talent cultivation, the course is oriented toward clinical nursing positions such as clinical nurses, community nurses, and midwives. It enables students to establish a "child- and family-centered" philosophy, master the basic theories, fundamental knowledge, and core skills of pediatric nursing, as well as the essential nursing knowledge and skills for common and frequently occurring pediatric diseases. Students will be able to provide high-quality nursing care for children according to the nursing process, and offer individualized child health services to individuals, families, and communities.
This textbook is developed with reference to professional teaching standards and grounded in the realities of the industry and clinical positions. It integrates the content of the nurse qualification examination to achieve "curriculum-job alignment, curriculum-certification integration, and curriculum-competition interconnection." The textbook consists of three modules and 29 tasks, each written following the clinical nursing workflow. Each task is accompanied by review questions to help students consolidate their knowledge and skills.
