PROSPECT For more than a quarter century, artist Thomas Schiff has used a panoramic camera to explore the hard edged and technologically refined man-made landscape worldwide. Schiff recasts the built environment, reorders its purist forms into atmospheric com-positions befitting the illusionism of Piranesi. From the vernacular movie theatres of the 19305 to libraries, private residences, universities, and performance halls, PROSPECT features Schiff's quintessentially American work--kaleidoscopic and vibrantly colored large format prints that offer up a new way of seeing and interpreting the architectural landscape.
