Providence

Although God has often operated in numerous ways since the creation of the world and the initiation of time, it seems that He generally uses His Providential Hand to move things from one point to another. He created Adam and Eve and placed them in the most favorable condition, the Garden of Eden. The same sweet and tender Hand that caressed them during their frequent times of fellowship with Him in that pristine Garden ejected them when they blatantly and consciously violated His Holiness. Still, this gracious and merciful Hand would not cease to be present with humankind from ancient biblical times throughout religious and secular history, even as it continues to operate powerfully and consistently during our modern-day. What we often assign to fate, coincidence, luck, accident, or chance is the Providential Hand of God. My goal is to become better at recognizing this strong and sovereign hand that is gentle enough to caress the tiny chicks of a sparrow yet powerful enough to keep the sun, moon, planet and stars in their places from the beginning to the culmination of time.
