Rascal

Set deep in the enchanted, snowy expanse of the North Pole, Rascal: A Story of Magic and Light introduces readers to a playful, high-energy newborn fawn born to proud parents Papa Starlight and Willow. Named Rascal for his mischievous, fun-loving spirit and boundless energy, the little deer quickly wins the hearts of Santa, Mrs. Claus, and his extended reindeer family, including his cousins Dash, Spark, Glow, and Twinkle.

As Rascal grows, he watches in awe as his father's nose glows with a soft silver light. Eager to discover his own special magic, Rascal embarks on a quest to find out how to make his nose shine. He turns to everyone for advice-asking Santa, his grandfather Silver, his uncle Blaze, and his mother-trying every trick imaginable, from holding his breath and wiggling his tail to squeezing his eyes shut tight, but nothing seems to work.

Disappointed that his nose won't light up, Santa decides to cheer up the little reindeer by taking him out for a special flight training session under the twinkling starlight and glowing northern lights. Soaring high above mountains, valleys, and glittering winter towns, Rascal's heart fills with pure joy. Suddenly, as they glide past a bright winter train, the magic happens: Rascal's nose bursts into a brilliant, shining green light that illuminates the dark night sky.

Having found his unique gift, Rascal returns to the North Pole as a hero. Earned through patience, joy, and a whole lot of heart, Rascal secures his place on the elite team, ready to lead Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve with his magnificent green glow. Written with charming rhyme and accompanied by rich, whimsical illustrations, Rascal is a delightful holiday tale about discovering one's unique inner magic, perseverance, and the pure joy of the Christmas season.
