REAL Zine 8

REAL Zine Issue 8: Liberalism is Dead is a direct confrontation with the political order as it exists today-and a rejection of the idea that it can be saved.

This issue moves through a series of essays examining the collapse of liberal ideology in real time: its inability to resolve crisis, its absorption into spectacle, and its role in stabilizing systems of power it claims to oppose. From cultural analysis to political theory, each piece traces how liberalism reaches its limits-and what emerges beyond them.

Inside, contributors explore the death of satire as a meaningful critique, the contradictions embedded in modern political discourse, and the broader question of what replaces a system that can no longer sustain itself. The throughline is clear: neutrality is an illusion, and the conditions of the present demand alignment, not observation.

Set against a world of escalating instability, this issue makes the case plainly-liberalism is not reforming, it is ending. What follows is not guaranteed.

REAL Zine Issue 8 is not written to explain the world from a distance. It is written from within it-for those trying to understand what is breaking, and what comes next.
