Reclamation

Facing an unwinnable battle, the newly allied rebels embark on a quest to find their last hope for victory-a mythical stronghold where the ultimate weapon lies.  

Oppression and devastation are all that are left of a modern world. Countries retreated into isolation, and the states of a once great nation have devolved into territories run by the remaining corporations. Colorado was the nerve center of the panicking United States as it endured the worst natural disaster in human history. The seven-day meteorite assault was severe, but the aftermath was worse. One by one, the infrastructures that unified the nation broke down, and one by one, the states cocooned themselves from their neighbors until they dissolved their associations completely. 

Three rebel groups formed in the chaos. The Fringers escaped to the fringes outside of the territory boundaries to scrape out a hard, but free, living. Another group, led by a Corporate, who doesn't agree with the current government, built a hidden sanctuary city. Generous in amenities and pro-family, he populated it with the best and brightest. The last group, the Robinhooders, infiltrated the corrupt government to pass information, divert funds, and build the rebellion. The Robinhooders worked with both groups, but the other two were not associated.

They met for the first time on a battlefield fighting their common foe, and though both factions were devoted to freedom and family, that was where their similarities ended. Their lifestyles and backgrounds were worlds apart, but they have no time to work out their differences.

It was a miracle they won the battle against the oppressive rulers, but there's no hope of winning the next. Their outposts and defense systems are exposed, and they are forced into an uneasy alliance. Their formidable enemy is coming. And this time they're coming with more than a scouting team; they're coming with everything.

Their only hope rests in the myth of Cali Bantu and its promise of a weapon. Each rebel group possesses sacred knowledge and relics leading to the cache, but now they must share their secrets with strangers. What such a weapon would be, or what it would do, is as much of a mystery as finding it.

But the rebels aren't the only ones who seek the hidden treasure. The Corporates are tracking them, waiting to ambush them the minute they retrieve it. The rebel bands have no choice but to join forces on their most dangerous mission yet.

In the name of freedom, twelve soldiers, a nurse, a tracker, a scientist, and a gifted child set out into the cruel winter to brave their enemies in the wildlands of Colorado.
