Relationship Boot Camp

When Gerry Heisler started his career in the 1970s, it wasn't out of the ordinary to write a note to someone you liked in high school, leave it in their locker, and maybe get a phone call from them later that night. (A phone with a chord, no less). There was no voicemail. If the person didn't answer there was no convenient way to reach them.

And now, as of the publishing of Relationship Boot Camp, writing notes is fairly obsolete-it has given way to texting, Snaps and "swiping right" . . . notions that would blow the mind of a high school student in the 1970's.

Within that timeframe, after 40+ years as a psychotherapist, assistant professor, and marital therapist, Heisler has walked alongside men and women, in all their relationship splendor, for close to five decades. He's have seen the highs and lows, and has experienced trends that have come and gone-from "going steady" to "I'm just not ready." Throughout the years, a lot has faded away but a few principles have remained the same.

Relationship Boot Camp is about those principles. The relationship principles that don't change over time.
