The crises have their internal causes arising from local conditions, management and applied technology. The major crisis the Polish coal industry finds itself makes it necessary to perform a thorough analysis of the industry's current status as well as the effectiveness of its activities, errors and failings in the restructuring processes in the context of the real conditions of operations. Only a thorough analysis can allow for effective corrective action to be taken. In this publication, the aim is to draw the reader's attention to selected sources of the current crisis in the Polish hard coal mining.
