This text contains a collection of Sheraton furniture designs, presented as beautifully detailed illustrations. A fantastic display of some of the most renowned and exquisite furniture to have ever been created, this text is a must-have for those with an interest in the work of Thomas Sheraton and constitutes a great addition to collections of historical furniture literature. Some of the examples contained within this book include: 'Cylinder Desk and Bookcase', 'A Secretary and Bookcase', 'A Gentleman's Secretary', 'A Library Case', 'Pediments for Bookcases', 'A Library Table', 'Kidney Table', 'Round Table and Octagon Table', 'Card Tables', and many, many more. Thomas Sheraton (1751 - 1806) was a furniture designer, one of the "big three" English furniture makers of the eighteenth century, along with Thomas Chippendale and George Hepplewhite. This antique book has been elected for modern republication due to its historical value, and we are proud to republish it here with a new introduction on the history of furniture.
