Dr. Badru Kiggundu is a firm believer that we are here for a purpose. That purpose is to learn as much as we can and to use what we have learned to grow and to help others.On the journey of our lives, we will inevitably face challenges. It is not the challenges that define us, however, but how we face them. His new book, Stepping into the Unknown, is about those challenges that come to us in life and about learning how to use what we have within us, in order to conquer them. This book is about using what we have within to help us overcome the challenges life puts in our paths, and how, in doing so, we will grow and develop and achieve success and happiness in life.Eng. Dr. Badru M. Kiggundu is a Ugandan civil engineer, academic, and consultant. He received his BS and PhD from the University of New Mexico and completed his master's degree at Carnegie Melon on a Fulbright Scholarship. He worked in the United States as a engineering research manager until his return to Uganda in 1988. From 1989, Dr. Kiggundu worked part time as a Senior Lecturer Department of Civil Engineering, Makerere University; Head Department of Civil Engineering (1993-1999), and then Dean then Faculty of Technology (1999-2002) Makerere University. He served as the chairman of the Electrol Commission of Uganda, for 14 consecutive years from 2002 until 2016. Dr. Kiggundu has doubled as Senior Presidential Advisor on Infrastructure and Public Works since December 2016 and served as Chairman of Works and Construction Committee, Uganda Muslim Supreme Council since 2001.
