Straighten Your Ways

Have you ever traveled a road filled with sharp, unexpected bends? Such roads are always risky-navigating them requires caution, skill, and often, a good measure of fear. Near our home, there's a notorious stretch of road just like that. It snakes and twists in dangerous turns, and over the years, it has become a site of tragedy. Heavily loaded trucks heading to neighboring countries have rolled over at that very curve. Many lives have been lost. Goods worth millions destroyed. Families have mourned. Businesses have counted losses. All because of those sharp bends.

In the same way, life itself becomes dangerous when lived on a crooked path. We are living in times where twisted living has become the norm. What once shocked our conscience is now considered normal. Morality is mocked. Truth is traded for convenience. Like in the days of John the Baptist, we live among people whose lives are spiritually and morally distorted. There is crookedness in personal choices, marriages, families, businesses, and leadership. The social fabric of our generation resembles a cloth dyed in crookedness.

But here's the truth many avoid: a crooked life is as hazardous as a twisted road.
